This one looked best in black and white. Look at those sad-sad eyes. This eagle isn't happy to be in the rain. |
I think this was on 20x zoom. I use a GE camera, just a simple point and shoot. I wish I had one of those cameras with the interchangeable lenses for macro photography. |
Ever see an eagle smile? This is why we don't. |
This one really shows you the beak and face. |
All these pictures were taken with the bird on the same branch, never moving from it's perch in the lonely tree. I've seen glimpses of bald eagles before but this was the coolest experience I've ever had being around one and seriously I was so far away from it I had to look on the screen of my camera to see which way it's beak was facing so I'm amazed I was able to get any okay photos at all...or I needed to wear my glasses which need repaired soon. This is why I need lots of extra pairs of glasses, so I always have a pair on hand.
Disclaimer; I totally missed it, I was done taking pictures and went back inside to charge my dead camera and checked out the window and watched the eagle swoop down into the river. It must have been watching for fish. If only I had two good cameras, I could have switched between them. I swear my camera hates taking videos. it drains the battery like crazy but I love taking videos but have no idea what sort of camera takes good photos and videos and isn't crazy expensive....oh well that's right up there with my macro camera dreams.
