Local Street Fair.

I love street fairs, okay I love all fairs but local ones are close enough to enjoy without sitting in a hot car. I think it's the atmosphere I love, the booths, the food, the rides going on in the background. Okay, alright so I don't ride the rides and this one didn't have any. I didn't buy any food this year but last year was nachos which were huge and awesome, I also had a float that I'll tell you how to make.

Super easy recipe, great treat for a hot summer day.
     Huckleberry Lemonade float,
Put huckleberry ice cream in a cup, or any vanilla or berry flavored ice cream if you want.
Pour in carbonated lemonade and enjoy. I love lemon flavored soda, it gives the ice cream a unique flavor.

Last year I bought marimo, Japanese algae. I got a total of four last year and this year I was hoping Urban Dirt would be there again and they were. So I got another.
I mostly wanted to go see the fair for the marimo. Mine were purchased at a booth run by Urban Dirt who let me take tons of pictures. They also sell air plant terrariums which are so cute but I didn't have enough to buy both a terrarium and a marimo so my green mossy love had to come first.

Pictures of the marimo I bought along with a folding fan for my collection. Now I'm five for five with five folding fans and five marimo.

Disclaimer, I really love Marimo. If I could I'd have dozens, maybe hundreds of them in bottles lining my walls. If my budget was bigger I probably would have walked away with more than one marimo which I am naming Sorcery because it's bottle resembles a potion bottle and I like magic.
