This post is not sponsored, nobody paid me or gave me anything in return for this review. I've written this on my own to express my opinion about this brand and or product.
Have you seen the movie Pan yet? I just watched it and wow, probably one of the better movies I've seen in the last year so I've decided to write something up about it.
Lets start with me saying I will try not to give any spoilers away, at least not big ones but I will say enough that when you are watching the movie or have seen it that you will understand what I'm talking about.
The beginning of the movie was slow going for me, very confusing, I got a little bit of a Oliver Twist vibe a couple of times but maybe it was just the setting. At first I had no clue where the movie was going, why it was taking so long to actually show me something I recognized from the Peter Pan stories but once it got going I could tell this was a very different sort of story, one I didn't expect.
There was a few parts where I thought, circus act, actually scary circus act on a few close-ups but I found myself pretty much enjoying the movie as I kept watching. One of my favorite parts you can pinpoint is the pirate's entrance with song. Despite the song being more modern than one would expect, I liked it along with the rest of the music on the movie. Not that those watching it with me would agree so let me know in the comments below, did you like the music or did you think they should have gone a different route?
I WANT HER HEADDRESS. No I'm not kidding, I don't know why since I'd probably wear it just for a few photos but I really love it. There were some long colorful skirts I thought were pretty. The whole display of colors in the tribe (not really a spoiler, I was not surprised about there being a tribe so I'm sorry if you think this is a spoiler.)
Hook is awesome, not much else to say about him without spoilers. I'm glad Tiger Lily was in this movie and seriously they did a great job with the colors of her outfits. Smee was pretty much the most identifiable to his character in my opinion, very recognizable. I think they did a very good job with him. Finally Peter, he pulled it off very well and I have no complaints about his performance but then again I'm not a movie critic, just a part of the audience watching through my tv.
I do have several complaints and many unanswered questions relating the film. They seemed slow to build up and the ending seemed a bit rushed. There are issues I have with how this would relate next to the basics of what we know about Peter Pan to begin with, the rivalry between Pan and Hook is a major one.
All in all, I'm hoping for a sequel where they can make this movie flow into what is already ingrained into the minds of all of us who grew up listening and watching the stories of a never aging boy who can fly who goes up against pirates and Captain Hook, brings children to his island to play and a jealous fairy named Tinkerbell. I hope you enjoy or enjoyed the movie.
Disclaimer, my camera does not take very good pictures in the dark or apparently of my own tv. I also never got around to watching the official trailers for the movie. I am totally serious about the headdress, I kind of want to put that on with a colorful skirt and poncho-shawl and really don't know why.
